Instructors
Steve Guinane
Steve " Stiffy" Guinane teaches all fight classes and some Thai and
cardio boxing classes. He has been training in Muay Thai for eight years. He has
had ten fights with eight wins. During his time as a fighter he obtained the NSW
Title in the super welter weight category.
Steve was forced into retirement from competitive
fighting due to ongoing shin problems. Although retired, Steve continued to train
and delved deeper into learning the art of Muay Thai. Through regular trips to Thailand
he has gained an extensive knowledge of the martial art.
Since opening the full time gym in Leichhardt, Steve has attracted a strong stable of fighters to train under his watchful eye. He continues to strive for the best for his fighters and for the gym. Muay Thai is Steve's passion.
Joanna MacEachern
Joanna "JoJo" MacEachern teaches the cardio boxing and beginners Thai boxing classes. She has been training for three years. From the first time she put on the gloves she has worked hard for perfection. In this short time she has accomplished a great deal. She is a two time Australian Champion and has fought in Jamaica, Cyprus, and twice in Thailand.
In Cyprus she won gold at the World Amateur Games. In Thailand she dished out her best which resulted in two knock outs to her name. Jo has a promising future ahead of her. She already has an impressive record of thirteen fights with eleven wins.
Lee Dicksen
Lee "Blacky" Dicksen has been training with Bulldog Gym for eighteen months. Lee is an intuitive fighter and a very quick learner. He takes everything in like a sponge. In the short time Lee has been training and fighting, he stands undefeated. He has had five fights with five wins, and looks forward to stepping into
thr ring on many more occassions. He has a full Thai rules fight comming up soon.
Lee is always willing to help others train and improve their technique. He is now an assistant techer in the Thai boxing classes. He is proving to be an important assest to the gym.
